Privacy policy
How this website handles information about the people who visit it.
Last updated: October 27, 2026
Who is responsible
Feshchenko Professional Corporation is responsible for the personal information described on this page. Sviatoslav Feshchenko, CPA, CA, is responsible for privacy at the firm. You can reach him at 613-748-7790, or by email at the address shown on the Contact page.
What this website collects
The website has no forms, no accounts and no advertising. It uses no analytics or tracking tools, and it does not set cookies.
Like almost every website, the web server records each request in a log: the IP address of the device, the date and time, the page or file requested, the page that linked to it, and the browser’s description of itself. The logs are used only to keep the website running and secure, are not combined with other information, and are deleted automatically after a limited time.
The “Show email address” button
To keep the firm’s email address away from programs that collect addresses for spam, the Contact page shows it only on request. When you press the button, the website keeps a scrambled, one-way code made from your IP address (not the address itself) and the times of your recent requests. It uses them only to limit repeated requests.
Google Maps
The Contact page shows a map provided by Google, and its “Get directions” link opens Google Maps. When the map loads, your browser connects to Google, which may receive your IP address and set cookies under Google’s privacy policy. The firm receives no information from Google about your visit.
When you contact the firm
If you telephone or email, the firm uses what you provide to reply and, if you become a client, to provide its services. Client information is kept confidential, as the CPA Ontario Code of Professional Conduct requires. The firm does not sell or rent personal information, and shares it only with your consent or where the law requires it.
Where information is kept
The website runs on the firm’s own server in Canada.
Your rights
You may ask what personal information the firm holds about you, and ask for it to be corrected, using the contact details above. If you are not satisfied with the response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, if you live in Quebec, the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
